Whose Will Be Done?

Whose Will Be Done?

There are many times that God may unction us or let us know that He needs us to do something that we would love to do. No questions, we would jump at it. What do you do when He's leading you to something you'd rather sit down from? Maybe choose another option? It's not the first choice on your bucket list and probably didn't make the list at all but for some reason He keeps pushing you in that direction.

The ultimate example is Christ. Considering in Gethsemane he asked for his cup to be passed from him. You think he wasn't pressured on the way to his cross? Stressed of nervous? Wishing there was another way?

Although he knew there wasn't, his food was to do the will of his Father. He did what he only saw the Father do in heaven. He was intentional. He was obedient. He modeled how God always intended us to be. His Son. His child. Amazing trust and amazing love in the one who understood the whole picture. Willing to die for a will not his own, but his Father who loved him.
